How to Make DIY Seed Tape and Use It to Sow Seeds
I spend a lot of time gardening each year. It is one of my absolute favorite activities. I will admit however that planting seeds can be troublesome at times. Especially when you get into those smaller seeds like carrot seeds. I want them in a nice row and they end up everywhere.
It also seems that so many seeds need to planted all at one time. these seed tapes are such a fantastic idea. You can make them up, sitting at your kitchen table in your warm house. Having them ready to go when the garden is ready for your seeds. Have a look through this great tutorial as I am sure you are going to love it.
How to Make DIY Seed Tape and Use It to Sow Seeds
Homemade Insecticide Spray
- 10 cloves garlic
- 1 onion
- 3 jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid dish soap
- 4 cups warm water
Using a blender combine the water, garlic, onion and peppers
Pour the mixture into a container with a tight fitting lid and let sit for 12 hours
Strain mixture (cheesecloth works great) and add the dish soap
Mix well and put in a spray bottle
Store this mixture in the fridge and it will keep for a month
To use this product spray the tops and the underneath of leaves coating them thoroughly.
Basic Insecticidal Soap
- 1 – 1/2 teaspoon any type of liquid dish soap etc.)
- 4 cups water
- ¼ cup isopropyl alcohol
Mix all ingredients in a spray container
