Above ground gardening is a big trend right now and of course there is significant reason for that. Between being easier on your back and knees as well as easier to prep, maintain and in a lot of cases grow your produce or other gardening plants.
I personally love them. Most of my garden is a raised bed in one way or another. Not just for the physical break on the back and knee demands but I absolutely love the look of them. They break up the area and help define each space.

Homemade Insecticide Spray
- 10 cloves garlic
- 1 onion
- 3 jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid dish soap
- 4 cups warm water
- Using a blender combine the water, garlic, onion and peppers
- Pour the mixture into a container with a tight fitting lid and let sit for 12 hours
- Strain mixture (cheesecloth works great) and add the dish soap
- Mix well and put in a spray bottle
Store this mixture in the fridge and it will keep for a month
To use this product spray the tops and the underneath of leaves coating them thoroughly.
